Megan graduated from Fort Lewis College in 2017 with a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, a minor in Psychology, and a Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Endorsement. She is also currently studying for her Master’s Degree in STEM Education at the University of Colorado Denver. She taught all subjects in 5th grade for five years in Costa Rica where she also gained fluency in Spanish. Megan is deeply passionate about creating a math classroom that encourages students to develop growth mindsets through perseverance, creativity, reasoning, problem-solving, and games. This is why she’s so excited to be starting as the 3rd grade teacher and math specialist at Academy 360; she can’t wait to help build up her students’ confidence in math and in themselves. Outside of school, Megan enjoys playing with her cat, doing yoga, painting, cooking, baking, dancing, and snowboarding.
