Charter schools are free, open-enrollment, public schools that are given autonomy over curriculum, finances, and hiring in exchange for promising excellent results for kids. We are a charter school within Denver Public Schools.
Yes! We participate in School Choice through Denver Public Schools. Round 1 opens on Wednesday, January 15, 2020 at 8:30a.
To participate in SchoolChoice, families submit one SchoolChoice application per student, on which they rank their top schools in order of preference, up to a limit of 12. DPS then uses a computer algorithm that matches students to schools based on those preferences, as well as school admission priorities and available space.
Here’s how it works (Download a printable flier):
New this year: If you are submitting an ECEap plication, you must upload the following documents in order to submit your application:
SchoolChoice online applications cannot be submitted without these documents.
Academy 360 currently serves ECE (3 and 4 year olds) through 5th grade students.
Academy 360 is located at 12000 E 47th Ave, across the street from the post office. The cross streets are 47th Avenue and Paris Street; we are just two blocks west of Peoria Street in the Montbello community.
DPS is restructuring the Far Northeast and Near Northeast shuttles to point-to-point transportation instead of shuttle. This will be in effect until COVID-19 risk is minimized and health standards ease. This will allow DPS to lower the risk of virus transfer. Students who use the shuttles will be routed onto yellow school buses, with enrollment zone requirements. Elementary students who live within a mile of their school will not be eligible for transportation. Bus information will be available for parents as soon as possible in Infinite Campus and the Parent Portal.
Tuition is based on a sliding scale set by Denver Public Schools. Please click here to identify the amount for your family.
Yes, Academy 360 has educational and active after school care each day; details here. Prices and number of seats will be decided closer to Labor Day. Additionally, many of our students go to the Denver Broncos Boys & Girls Club, located 1/2 mile from the school and accessible via the Success Express bus route.
Yes! Academy 360 has basketball, soccer, track/field teams and participates in Girls on the Run. Marvin Williams, PE & Health Teacher, can answer additional questions about our sports leagues – email hidden; JavaScript is required.
Yes, our uniform top is a grey, green or navy polo with the Academy 360 logo and can be purchased at school. The cost of each polo shirt is $12 and the cost of the sweatshirt is $15. Students wear any solid colored pants, shorts, or skirts (with leggings or tights underneath) which can be purchased at any clothing store of your choice. Because we move throughout the school day, including during PE class, all students MUST wear sneakers.
Yes. We believe that college preparation starts before birth, which is why we offer parent education classes on nutrition and early literacy. Academy 360 believes that every child should have the choice to attend a 4-year college, and will implement a rigorous curriculum, research-driven teaching practices, intensive professional development for staff, and data-driven interventions in order to prepare every child for success in school, college, and beyond.
Academy 360 is committed to developing the whole child mind, body, character. Healthy students learn better, so we see health and wellness as a key lever to propel students’ academic achievement. Check out our Health & Wellness page on this website!
