Xavier is coming to Academy 360 from his previous experience of six years as a 5th grade teacher in rural Kansas. He comes from a small town background in the rural Kansas area with deep roots in a Hispanic and diverse community. Xavier originally began his educational career with an Associates of Applied Science in Accounting from Garden City Community College and a Bachelor’s of Business Administration in Management from National American University and served as a Patient Financial Advisor for Centura Health for 2 years. Thereafter, he found his calling through a substitute position and became a teacher in 2017. He has completed his Masters of Arts in Teaching from Kansas State University and has taught all subjects of general education as well as gifted/special education programs. Xavier comes to us from a charter school in the Denver area and is prepared and ecstatic to serve his new school and the community of families that surround the area. He lives in Aurora with his fiancé, Tanner of two years and plans to marry soon to share the good news with all of his students in the year to come! For him, his mindset is “I didn’t choose education, education chose me.”
