With dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in Psychology and Sociology from Clarke College, Dubuque, IA, Carletta has a strong foundation in understanding the diverse needs of children. With over a decade of experience in educational roles, Carletta has excelled in positions ranging from classroom teaching to overseeing child-focused programs. Her career began at Denver Public Schools, where she crafted enriching activities for students in the Kaleidoscope program. Carletta has taught in various grade levels, including 2nd Grade Co-teacher, 3rd Grade Lead-teacher, and currently Kindergarten Lead teacher. Carletta demonstrates a profound commitment to fostering a culturally responsive and engaging learning environment. Carletta is trained in several specialized pedagogical methods, including the Orton-Gillingham approach to literacy, Responsive Classroom, and Mind, Brain, and Education science, which she adeptly integrates into her teaching.
