Stephenni Miller-Allen

Third Grade Teacher

Stephenni was born and raised in Montclair, NJ, where her love for dance and education began. She obtained her Master’s Degree in Dance at The American University, and while in graduate school, she worked at the Higher Achievement Program as an Assistant Center Director. This position provided a foundation for directing and managing enrichment programs for children. Shortly afterward, Stephenni gained experience teaching dance, writing dance standards, and curriculum for various Washington, DC, New York, and New Jersey Public Charter schools. She soon was inspired to become a classroom teacher  teaching English in South Korea and volunteering in Nigeria. After being accepted into Teach For America, Stephenni moved to Colorado in partnership with The Sachs Foundation to support diversity in education. She believes that together; teachers, students, and families have the ability to uplift and improve communities, as well as the world we live in. Stephenni’s love for the arts, traveling, and cultural exchanges keeps her a lifelong learner and excited to share those experiences with those around her.
